Default hey guys i need help with a engine question

Hey,
I have a 95 5.0, It idles fine but when you try to give it gas it will go up to about 1500 rpm's then if you try giving it gas it wants to shut off. Is it the o2 sensors giving it too much air or something? Or could it be the Tps sensor? ANy help would be greatly appreciated. Im ready to drive it again!!!!!

The O2 sensor code could be a "result" of the problem, not the cause. You should also check fuel pressure and verify is above 35 PSI.

make sure you don't have an exhaust leak on that side before o2 sensor

I drove it to the mall and while crusing up to the stop sign it started idling funny and when i tried giving it gas it would shut off. Then i kept trying to crank it and sometimes it would run a little and as soon as i gave it gas it died. I a gallon gas in it thinkin maybe the guage was wrong and then i went to the gas station and filled it up. The guage was right but it never did it again until now. I bought a new fuel filter thinking maybe theres trash in it that blocks it up sometimes? but i havent put it on yet

but like i said it idles fine now and it will let u get up to 1500 rpms before it wants to shut off..before u couldnt hit the gas at all and it wouldnt idle 3/4 of the time

If the fuel pressure is in the low side (~22 - 27 PSI), the engine will start and idle, once load is applied it will have the symptom you describe. You need to check fuel pressure to ID or discard this possibility from the possible causes list.. LUK

Default hey

try checking your fuel pump because i have a 90 5.0 and it was doing that so i pulled the fuel pump and it was cover in a bunch of crap so i replace it and the tank and it has ran fine since then
