Default Rear axles

I have some five lug axles ready to replace my four lug axles. I've never done this before so I have a question about the bearings. Are they pressed onto the axle or in the axle housing? Should it be as simple as sliding out the old axle and sliding in the new axle?
Can someone clarify?

there is no need to change the bearings unless they are worn. They are pressed into the housing and require a special puller to remove.

Unbolt the diff cover, remove the 8mm cross shaft pin, pop the cross shaft out, press the axles towards the center of the diff, remove the C clips, and slide the axles out.

everything goes back together in the opposite order

Thanks guys. What about the axle seals. Should I reuse the old ones? If so, are they easy to remove?

You can just use the axles to remove the seals, it's an old trick. you just use the c-clip end when you're pulling out the axle. You use the axle like a big lever. Sometimes the won't cooperate and you end up using a screwdriver or similar tool to you yank it out. To install the seal, you can use a piece of wood or if yo uhave access to seal drivers use those.
