Default bad head

ok so i had posted a while back another thread about my car not running right. I had replaced all ignition and still same problem i had took it in to a shop around my area and found out there was no compression on piston #1 so they took heads off and took them to machine shop to get checked. So wat i wanted to know is that about how much would i be looking at to spend if its a bad valve and they have to machine heads and gaskets

the reason i was asking was because the shop that had my car is going to charge me about 600 for the whole fix of the heads if valve was bent and also includes gaskets but he also let me know that he can do the whole gt 40 with a cam and gaskets for like about 950. What you all think

$300 extra?

if the gt40's are in good shape, then that seems like a good price.

just pull the head off, take it to them and have them check it...or you can do it yourself..no reason to spend a lot of money on something just needing to be fixed.
