hey guys , i was driving to work today and passed a road that i needed to turn on so i stopped completely shifted to reverse backed up 50-75 feet then put it in first to take off....switched to second and when shifting to second it grinded real bad...now it absolutly will not go into second without crunching... no i havnt grinded the gears, no i dont slam gears on a regular basis and never power shifted...and it shifted fine the whole way to work untill i reversed....is this just a coinsidence?? and i want to replace the trans with an auto suitable for the track....what do you recomend? thanks for you help

I missed 3rd a few times power shifting at the track and it started to grind into second. I just finished doing a T-5 to C-4 swap and i love it. It has a trans brake and manual valve body of course. Its got the feel of a stick but its still an auto. The only real con to the swap is that you will lose the ability to drive the highway in most cases.
