went to track, dissapointed.
well, yesterday I went to the track, and I am happy with my MPH, but not my ET.
last year I ran a best of 14.48 @ 94MPH
I had the stock cam, stock intake, k&n sucking hot engine air, 1.7 roller rockers, and a 73mm mass air meter, and 70mm throttle body. I ported the upper to 70mm too,
and a msd blaster tfi coil.
1 5/8 headers with an x pipe and flowmaster american thunder catback.
and the rest was stock.
yesterday I ran a best of 14.34 @ 96.3MPH
since last year, I added my MSD6A, professional products intake,1.6 roller rockers, b-303 cam, bbk cold air intake, march underdrive pulleys, 24# injectors, lakewood 90/10 struts and 50/50 shocks, I deleted my A/C and smog took them both out,
I had to go back to the stock throttle body because my professional products one started leaking at the throttle shaft.
and I took all the sound deadning and the back seat out.
I probably lightened it by at least 100lbs.
my clutch slips now too. I have a centerforce to replace it with.
I know the stock throttlebody is a bottleneck, but I plan on getting another 70mm tb.
the air at the track was cool too.
I dont know why I only gained 1 tenth and 2MPH.
and also about 3/4 ways down the track I noticed the rear end started bouncing slightly.
I was hoping on breaking into the 13's, but I dont know why I didn't.

RE: went to track, dissapointed.
It depends on how bad the clutch is slipping but that could be a big problem. Heads and an intake would really help the rest of your mods. I bet once you replace your clutch you will pick up some. Let us know how it goes.

He's talking about the upper and lower manifolds, not you're CAI.
