Default 8.8 rebuild

how hard is it exactly to do this, i have the carbon fiber clutch kit from ford. finally getting sick of the 1 wheel peel sometimes and the inconsistent 60' times.

do i just unclip the axles and pull em out, and rip the s clip out and go to town on replacing them? or.. do i have to remove the whole unit or what?

if anyone can help, thanks.

I think its easier if you remove the the carrier but you dont have too. If you do be sure you mark your shims and bearing caps.

Its also a little more in depth than just ripping the axles out. You have to remove the pinion shaft and pinion gears followed by the side gears. The spring comes out after the axles.

best bet is to remove the carrier as it's alot easier to work on it on a bench, don't fear it, it's easy, done it many times
