Question... I've asked it previously but I don't think I got a response. I wanna put BBK LT headers with the matching short h-pipe on my 91LX. They are availible through Summitt for $239.00 and the h-pipe for $119.00

They say that they are a direct bolt on.... will these bolt right up, or will I have to lift the engine etc.? I'm gonna do it myself so I don't want a lot of complications. Should I just go with the shorties?

The longtubes wont be a big deal, you will have to lift the motor off the k-member a little though, and probably disconnect the steering shaft and re-route it through one of your headers. No big deal, you wont have to do much other than take off a few bolts and put a jack and a block of wood under the engine and jack it up a few inches. Well worth the extra hp, torque, and sound you get over shorties Just do it! Don't think about it any more, just do it!

You will thank me after you get them on

You might have to jack up the motor to get them in. Disconnect one motor mount lift that side slide it in. The same for the other side. You might also want to disconect the steering shaft and take the starter out to make it easier.

I did just notice in the latest ad for Anderson Motorsports they are now making 1 3/4 shorties again. I would have killed for those 2yrs ago.
