At the start of the summer i installed a b cam and a set of ported e7's and a intake on my 85 mustang. I had put about 1500 miles on that set up and one weekend i drove it about 140 miles away from town and the oil pressure droped and right away i pulled over but by then there was a loud knock coming from the bottom end. Today i just went to take the balencer off and i could move it back and forth. It seems the front half of the crank must have broke off because you can move it about a quarter turn back and forth before the engine turns over. I was just wondering what could have caused this. And it chewed up the back of my front cover a little. Would it be okay to re use the front cover it didnt even make it to the seal it just has a round score mark on the back side of it. At the time of the faliure i was runing it at about 2500 rpms doing about 70. I wasnt running it hard. I will try to get pictures later and post but i would like to here what you guys think.

start pullin it apart and see whatcha got goin on, plus IF it did break directly in two it would have broke valves in the back portion from where it separated. but youll never know until you get into it. sucks man gotta hate it when **** doesnt go right.
