Default spindles and struts

im in the process of doing a 5-lug swap and run into a possible problem. Im using sn95 spindles up front and the strut bolts are not lining up plus theres a difference of thickness in this area on both spindles. Do i need to get new struts from a 94 or newer.

I just did a five lug swap using the sn95 spindles. My struts lined up without incident and the only thing I had to account for was the longer threaded ball joint. I just placed some washers and tightened the castle nut down.

What year are you putting the swap on? I ran into the thickness issue with my 80 Capri it was a 4 banger but I'm not sure if it was a year issue or a 4cyl vs V8 difference. I know some strut kits come with spacers to add in for the narrower spindles. I would say you need to get the newer struts but I believe that 87 and up should be the same regardless as far as the thickness.
