Default NEED help, supercharged running issues possible distributor???

BTW i did try to do research on this site and a local one for my area and after 45 min of searching both sites i just posted. if there is a previous thread about this just post the link and i'll be happ to read it. thankx

ok,
the car has a 306 (forged je pistons 8.5 cr, i beam rods, factory crank, stock block with main girdle) Vortech t-trim, 36lb injectors, 255lph fuel pump with vortech t-rex, edlebrock performer rpm intae with 1 inch spacer, msd boost retard thingy, no tune, fuel pressure at idle is 34psi, cruising is 38-40 psi, and raises 1:1 with boost.

OK, now for the problem,

the first time this happened the car would not start at all. after pattin the gas and repeated attempts to crank it finally started but was running like crap. idled at 500 rpms sounded like it was running on 3 cylinders. and would never rev up at all. i left and came back to the car a few hours later and it fired right up with now problems. drove it for a week until a similar thing happened on monday (which pissed me off cause i was goin for a spirited cruise eith friends that day LABOR DAY)

Monday i checked all the fluids, cranked it up to let it run and warm up, backed outta the driveway, went down my quiet neighborhood street, haha yeah rite, went to turn and leave the neighborhood and the car stalled. CRAP. NOT AGAIN. 15 minutes later it started to do the 500 rpm thing again. cut it off try to crank it, finally it crank and wouldnt rev. cut it off and got to run and rev but souned like it had a miss or two. let it run for a minute or two revin it up trying to get it to act up and then it did. so iparked it until the next mornin. gonna take it to my mechanic, and the car ran fine, until tonite.

Went for a spirited drive on the inner beltline, and the car stalls, according to the monster tach not the dash tach. push the clutch in, dash tach go to 0 rpms turn the key the car fires up and is back firing. starts to run like crap so i nurse it to work where i am stuck now typing this up.

you can either respond to the post or send me a pm for my number and i can talk more about it. this is my dd and can't afford the downtime.

what do the plugs looks like? what type of breather system you got going on? stock pvc still or eliminated pcv system with valve cover breathers? whats your timing at? aftermarket ignition box?

not sure exactly what your experiancing so maybe answers to those questions maybe narrow it down a bit.

base timing should be at 10* and just leave it there. one of the MODS on here has a procharged 5.0 and he has eliminated PCv system, valve cover breather and base timing at 10* spout out. have you tuned up recently? aka, new cap rotor ect ect?

dont think its the tfi module cause the first two times it wouldnt crank when it was cold. i checked timing last nite and it was set dead on 10 degrees base timing, with the boost retard at 0.5. no issues today or last night, i think its just gonna come down to forkin ovr $$$ for a tune

new plugs (autolite 3924) gapped at 32. wires are a yr old i think. distributor ??

I had a serious problem with my 95 stang last week. The car would cut out badly and had a miss under normal driving. I Do not know if you have this problem. In my case the Distributor(Remanufactured Auto Zone) was bad. Replaced it and everything was fine. As for your case it could be a number of things. Hook up a code reader while the car is running. The Check Engine Light does not need to light up to show a problem. Also, the MAF could be partially unplugged or air could be escaping. This would explain your hard starting and stalling problems. Hope everything works out for you.
