Default 93 4cyl to 5.0 - final list

Hey guys... im just looking for answers here since I lost all of my bookmarked sites and threads about this topic and cant find the one i was looking for in the search.

I have a 93 2.3, and i will be leaving for college in two weeks and i am planning on giving my mustang to a body shop to get touched up and a mechanic to drop a 5.0 in there, all on barter money from the family buisness. We have 40k in barter money, and nothign to spend it on, so I will be getting all work done at 50% cost.

Im trying to put together a list of things I will need and problems that will arise so I can warn the shop that will be doing the swap to make it as easy as possible. There is a junkyard on barter as well, so I can get the engine and all the parts i need for no cash either.

What I have done to the car is, 5 lug conversion with 96gt spindles up front and two ranger axels out back with drums. Still 7.5 rear end

I will need:
The engine, 302 from 1992 or earlier for forged internals
a Wiring harness from a 93 mustang, and only a 93 mustang
Fuel lines
8.8 rear end
New speedo/tach
Exhaust

what else do i need? I know theres more.. i cant remember.

Also, mines an auto.. I would like to make it a manual, how hard is that conversion?

Thanks it advance guys!

if its a front sump pan, you need a new pan, pick up tube, motor mounts, new dipstick...otherwise just find a original 302 from a fox, itll drop right in.

id say just rip the whole drivetrain outta a 5.0 and pop that in it. or just buy a 5.0 car

Pretty sure i dont need the crossmember cause 93's came with the double hump crossmember...

notches are hard to find where i live, and iv put to much work into this car to just sell it and buy a 5.0 when i can do the swap for virtually nothing.

and maybe in the future i would like to boost it, so if i can find one from a 92 or earlier, ill use that. if not i guess ill settle for a 93

motor mounts
crossmember
drive shaft
transmission
complete engine (with everything on it)
MAF or SD
computer (or carb)
if 5 speed then all the cables and clutch stuff, also pedals
if auto, then just whats listed above.
exhaust
you'll have to move the axle brake line if doing duals al the way back
bigger brakes (so they don't warp)
