I have had recently many sets offered to me at 600 or less and for that price I'm about to jump on a set when I have the money to prove that all the people who bash theses heads need to see a result..for 600 they'll outperform any cast iron factory head

From everything i've seen on Patriot heads I wouldn't spend $500 on em, everything I've seen shows them as garbage.

see that's the prob...pure hear say.....I've seen a few sets first hand and it conflicts greatly with the bad doctored up sets that someone has maliciosly posted, I question the source on those sets cause it hasn't reflected what I have seen first hand

Yeah, I can't say I have first hand experience with them. Don't you think though you'd hear bad things about AFR, Trickflow, Edelbrock, Canfield, Brodix, etc? I mean as soon as Patriots came out I saw some pictures of them and they were horrible, it looked incomplete. I don't know, they seem to have good flow numbers so I can't help but wonder why if they're so great why are they so cheap.

^^^^^dunno, I have afr's personally on my 347 and they work great so no complaints there, As soon as I sell my 66 and 92 my next project will start and it will be a 5 spd mass air vert early 90's if possible, but I want to ressurect my dome piston short block and put it in such and use all parts I have currently and do a budget build for as cheap as possible and the heads I have 2 directions, a inexpensive set of patriot performance heads for 600 or a set of edelbrock rpm's with 1.90/1.60's with scorpion rockers all for 800.00 beans!!! A freind had them on his 302 and went with a 347 so he got canfields for that, so the eddy's are sitting at my shop and he's in no hurry to sell them but he told me today he'd accept my offer so when I get the money I got a decsion to make, my goal is to get the vert to run 12.80's/12.90's with semi decent parts but as cheap as possible..if that makes sense..and I may be willing to give the patriots a try since I'm not really worried if this car doesn't reach my goal, cause I always have the 85 to give me the thrills

well then lol this sounds like the proform heads. Early ones were really bad now i hear their newer style heard are the bees knees. ALSO i know these are 200CC heads but I found a set of gt40-Y303 heads for really cheap. Could i have the hell ported out of those with a 11.5.1 comp 408 work well?
