Default Help Needed - Speed Density to

I have a low mileage but daily driven '91LX and am looking to swapmy stock engine for my friend's 347 (Coast High Performance Street Fighter) that he is selling. The 347 is currently running speed density so it really doesn't idle well (very rich) but it's OK at WOT.

My question is - besides changing to a mass airflow sensor what else do I need to look out for on this conversion?

The 347 does not have a/c or any emissions equipment so I want to move mine over to the 347. The 347 has a 70mm throttle body (no EGR so I'll add one), Performer RPM intake, Victor Jr. heads, 10.25:1 compression (no detonation problems with 92 octane), 30lb injectors, shorty headers/h-pipe with O2 sensors. The cam has a 290 advertised duration and .550" lift with 110 lobe centers.

I have a stock T-5 which will probably disintegrate behind the 347. I'm also going to change the stock fuel pump to a 190.

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Kevin

P.S. Will my stock computer have any problems with this engine that makes 400+HP?

just transfer everything from yours on to it..you will need a big mass(maf) calibrated to the 30's
you will most likely need a chip, tweecer or something like it...I have a nice new 86mm mass for 30's new if ya want it
or you can just go carb with a nice 750 demon

Thanks for the quick reply!

What about the thermactor air injection system that is on my car but not on the 347? I doubt the Edelbrock Victor Jr.'s have emissions provisions.

How much for the MAS, what brand, and is it new or used? 30lb calibration is perfect.

Thanks again.
