Alright the other day i posted about tire size. Someone here said that on cars pre 91 that you can't fit that wide of tires in the front because the fenderwalls are smaller. Im not saying he doesnt know what he's talkin about but everyone always seems to have different problems with their cars so maybe some of you might not have this problem. What is the biggest size you guys put on your car in the front and back. I wanted to get 245/50/R16 all around but somenoe posted that even 235's would rub in the front a little on pre 91's? Anyone here have a pre 91 mustang, 87-90? I have an 88 and now im confused on what to do with tires. I dont want spend all this money and get tires that dont look good on my car, i hate that small tire look, but i dont want to get bigger tires and then find out i just wasted my money b/c they are rubbing really bad. Need some input

On 16s? Yeah you can fit that, You might get a bit of rubbing when you turn all the way but its a good sacrifice.

i was the one that said it. i also had a 89 that had the same issues with clearence also you can look in hte ford reference guide and it will tell you the same. we have smaller fenderwells and will have interfernce

yeah the 91's have a lil more room in the front fenders......those 225/60/15;s on the stock stang are just too damn small

the 16" pony fit like a glove thier on my 90

rims fit with no problem but tires will rub

you said even 235's will rub kinda? A bad rub or just when u have the wheel cut all the way, and is it even that bad when you turn??

at full lock you can feel it rubbing also on the wheel well it left marks. also it rubbed my gt nose skirts. my wheels are also 16x8, where as ponys are 16x7
