Default springs

ok so my car is at the shop getting fixed they had remachined heads and the owner said that since i have a cam that it would be a good idea to upgrade springs because that i have the stock springs in there right now and thats what could of caused my car to mess up a valve. im just asking because he said that he could just put motor back together and leave stock springs in there but i might have same problem again and also compression problems in future or he can upgrade so cam can work fine. What you all think leave it stock springs or just upgrade them

Upgrade them.... that is a requirement anytime an aftermarket camshaft is installed.

alright thanks for replies its just that i was not reallly sure if it would be required to change them from stock i thought maybe guy from shop was just trying to get more $ out of me. I guess the person that had car before me just put that cam in there without doing anything and made me blow a valve

upgrade the springs to match the cam you have so valve float won't occur
