suspension quesion...
My 94 gt was wrecked in the front end specifically the passenger front corner pretty hard. crushed the front frame rail all the way back to the strut tower. So I have the front end taken off. ready to install a new clip from the strut towers forward.... I have a slight issue though. The car has lowering springs and now on the passenger side the wheel has maybe a half inch clearance in the rear of the wheel well like is has been pushed back when it was hit. My question is this. Should I replace the k member or would there be something else that could be bent in the suspension that is causing this. I dont want to replace the k member but if needed thats what ill do. I replaced the strut and it helped it a bit. Should I look into the steering rack? maybe a-arm? just wondering what would be a good way to figure out how to get the clearance back before getting the new front end on...

you need to make sure the k-member hasn't been pushed back on that side and tweaked the unibody front rail support if it has you shouldn't be doing the repair as it'll need the frame straightened

well...hmmm....that would blow but would it be any easier of a fix if I just removed the whole front clip and replaced it? The K member doesnt seem to be pushed back as the damage stopped at the strut tower. I would think the it could possibly be tweaked but not past the front clip. just a thought.... but of course I am not an expert.

you need to take measurements and compare it side to side to see where the bent stuff is, if the body took the impact and not the suspension components such as wheels, spindles or control arms then I'd lean toward the strut tower/ body rail being tweaked but I'm not there to see it, posting picks of all damage may give me a better idea what we are dealing with
