Multi-spark ignition... is it worth performance & economy on a stock car?
#11
I have 10.5:1 compression on my 347 and the only ignition mod I have is MSD wires cap rotor and TFI coil. Runs great. I want to get an MSD 6AL some day for the softer rev limiter, though since the factory PCM cuts fuel instead of spark.

Yeah, if shorties aren't woth it let me know. I hear both( do it / don't do it) and I want the opinion of those who have done it. If $170 on a pair of Flowtech shorties isn't worth it, I could spend that money on a shifter, or putting duals on the trucks, etc...

i put an msd 6a on a totally stock 86 gt and noticed quite a bit of power increase. mpg maybe 1-2 miles per gallon. the best part was it makes passing calif smog no problem. ran test with and without and it cut emissions tremendously

good idea for shorties. i've had them 2 1/2 years now and they havent changed one bit in color. but normal mild steeel/chromed/painted headers always change color and IMO cermic is the only way to go.
but if you're on a tight budget there as shorties at summit for under 100 bucks just painted mild steel.
