Hi all,
Bear with me I just moved from imports to American muscle so this might be a totally newbie question.
I am looking to build a quick daily driver that will be able to have some fun at the strip on occasion. So I don't want mods that sacrifice reliability.
I'm going to do the following mods right off: 4:10 gears, LSD, Transgo shift kit and reprogramming kit, 75mm throttle body, 75mm MAS, cold air intake, catback exhaust, high capacity fuel pump, larger injectors, fuel pressure regulator, performance ignition coil, performance distributor, plugs, wires, brake upgrade, and a Trickflow specialties 360 HP Twisted Wedge top end kit.
Is there anything else I should do to get some power while I'm at it? Preferably little things that aren't terribly expensive and no nos or forced induction.
Thanks

this will net you over 300+ HP for sure http://store.summitracing.com/partde...1&autoview=sku
we've had many account of people not getting 300rwhp that they think they will get with the trick flow kit. yes it more expensive bet its very worth it.
plus anything you order i reccomend summit > any other company. customer service is outstanding and shipping is really really fast.
and you might want to look into a higher stall converter too

sounds like your off to a good start! maybe before you do the top end kit though you take care of some other things, like full exhaust, gears, tire, suspension, and then look into more power!
Just a thought though

Thanks for your guys input. I like summit I've used them for (a very limited selection of) parts on my import before and have always had good dealings with them.
My car is actually a 5.0 Thunderbird though so I'm not sure what is out there for a full exhaust set up, I'm thinking of using mustang headers with everything back being custom.
As for tires and suspension, I do have brand new tires on it but I'm not sure what to do for the suspension besides new shocks, struts and springs. I just don't see a ton out there for the Thunderbird.
Thanks.

if its a fox chassis which the t bird is. i believe u can use any kind of mustang shock, some one correct me if im wrong. If so Id go with koni adjustables or if you have a large budget strange 10 way adjustable

strange is the way to go. the cost difference in nominal compared to what you get IMO
and +1 to doing all your suspension first. thats pretty much the route i've gone with this build and i dont regret it one bit. makes for a nicer ride as well.

^+1 the ride quality was superior to what it was with the stock stuff when i changed my suspension out for my strange's and ebiach drag springs and that was with the shocks set at drag settings ive never gotten around to adjusting them to street levels but i can imagine that it would be awesome

I would check and see whats available for exhaust before you think about going custom. You could possibly save yourself a lot of money if there are any other options. I would think that there would be companies out there that can have what you need.
