Default quick answer on f77e and gt40p casting on heads

Are these the P heads that are on the explorers and is $250 a good price for them. The castings on them are f77e and gt40p. These are better than stock 86 heads?? What year explorers came with the gt40p heads???

If you do get them your onna either have to get angled sparkplug boots or P headers to avoid the stock sparkplug boots from burning.

I am using BBK unequal shorties with a 90* plug wire on #7 cylinder and it works just fine, I am not using P specific headers but the fit is actually pretty good with the exception of #7 header tube, but they still work.

Is the only issue that you need to have 90 degree plug boots with the P heads? The headers dont actually contact the plugs themselves. That is no big deal, I can just get different wires to correct that problem.
