it isnt the valves or the clutch, i know it has something to do with fuel, my guage is only showing about 30psi, i just put a new pump in and i doubt that it could be bad, but i have no idea what goin on still

Hey, i have the same problem. but its not the fuel pump or anything like that or the cam adjustments or the valves. i just don't get it. i have a 1990 mustang LX, with a cobra motor bored out to 30 over, aftermarket cam, gt40 heads, shorty headers, bbk throttle body, with a mass airflow, and 24 lbs. injectors on it. that about sums it up. thanks for reading if you can help that be great.

Default I just went through this

It turned out to be the TFI module in the dizzy. Put a new one on and now it bounces off the rev limiter!!!

I have a 95 thats acting the same way. . . this is my first ford. . .
just bought it off an old girl, check engine light is coming on, cleaned the maf meter and was like night and day. . . for a day then working like crap again. . . but just doesnt want to rev with a load on the car, i thought maybe the cats were plugged so i took the rears off and gutted the top two, i just bought a typhoon upper and lower, FR 70mm Throttle body, CAI, 3.73's cuz 2.73's blow, BBK shorty's and UPR cat-less X-Pipe.

but yeah top speed is like 200km/h or 120mph. . .
I have spark knocking going on too, more so when its warm out but not always the case, checked the timing it was +10*.

I had the engine noise in my stock 95GT. especially when hot out. I ended up advancing my timing to about 13*. What a difference. It accelerates harder and I have not had the "noise". I also had an issue with an unstable idle. That was fixed also.

hey, i was messing around under the hood doing testing and i got it so that i don't lose power at high revs but now it back fires on me when i get up their. i just don't get it. one thing after another. but what can you do its a drag car right.
