Default NO POWER AT TOPEND

MY gt runs great but at around 4000rpms it seems to loose power, i changed the fuel filter, the fuel pump was upgraded to a 225lph and i did new plugs and new msd coil ....i cant figure out whats going on, i cleaned out my mass air meter too and also took out the holley fuel pressure regulator and put a stock on in place of it, because it wasnt adjusting(more or less pressure) any ideas or thought would be great, thanks

do either of you have a cam installed?

can you describe it more detailed. does your car feel like it hits a wall, like literally cannot pass ~4k RPMS? i've experianced this once but it was after a cam install. common with that kind of mod is valve float due to inadiquate vavle seat pressure. old springs get this way too. its possible this may be what your experiance. especially to the OP who's replaced their coil.

but also another suggestion is the dizzy possible. there is an assembly inside that can go bad that also may cause this.

Yes it deffinently feels like it hits a wall, however, if there is no load on the car (not in gear) it revs up past 4K with ease.....

welcome to the world of 5.0's lol, i dunno if it feels like it hits a wall, but they barely make power past there anyway

sounds like what my car did. sounds like valve float. do you know if you have an aftermarket cam. they usually only do that with stock springs + aftermarket cam unless the aftermarket cam was installed with incorrect aftermarket springs.

When your clutch slips, your rpms rev faster. I doubt thats his issue.
