Default Someone school me...

Ok, I dont know much about mustang performance. Im sure a bunch of you guys can help me. My roommate has a 94 GT. Here are his mods. 75mm BBK, 80mm mass, K&N, side pipes, no cats, no mufflers, just piping. Its an auto, and the thing has real crappy low end power, no torquey-ness at all, and doesnt get to its power till after 4000rpms. Is this because his intake mods are too aggressive with a stock motor? Is his exhaust set up pointless? Someone help...he is not smart enough to ask the pro's why his car is so slow. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

also i hear the 94-95 motors arent the best either

with the intake work it might need better fuel delivery, or ignition. You can have all the air in the world and without enough gas or spark you're not gonna run good

the tb and MAF are to big for his setup aslo he needs to put in a shift kit in the aod and put some gears in too. You only use a 75mm tb with major mods.

PUT IN 3.73 OR 4.10 . DO THIS FIRST IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE . IF IT STARTS PULLING GOOD AT 4000 WHAT DOES IT QUIT PULLING AT. GOOD LUCK.
