Does a cold air intake REQUIRE a tune?

Yeah, the only reason the S197 needs a tune after installing MOST CAI is because the throttle is electronic as in no cables.
You can get a tune for your 94+ car but it will be more to change a few things for higher octane fuel than just becuase of more air flow from the CAI.
no tune required but it could come in handy later on if you want to get a bit more power our of your car by running a higher octane tune in your car.
