HELP quick alternator question

actually they go to the positive post on the starter relay/solenoid, but essentially straight to the battery.
and no, a 4gauge wouldn't go from that post to the neg terminal. you could run it to the pos terminal if you wanted to gaurantee charging. those 2 blacks have an inline fuse at 140a i believe

ok I was just out with my multimeter and tried connecting that rear post to the positive and it didnt change the batterys voltage at all. I did meter the two black/orange wires and they are hot(12v). Im going to bring the alternator in and have it tested when I go buy the plug that I need for the new alternator.
