Location of under hood fuses

I've tried the search with no luck. I've got a 93 5.0 and looked under the hood, couldn't find them. I also looked near the starter (searched on the net and it said these are near the starter solenoid) couldn't find them. Anyone know the location? Checked the fuses under the dash and they are all ok. I think I blew an under the hood fuse when putting in a new radio (at least that's what the guy at best buy told me). Thanks.

Underhood fuses are the fuse link type, attached to the starter solenoid (+) post.

thanks for the picture. so i went out to my car. is this on the drivers side fenderwall near the windshield washer reservoir and battery? On my car there is a black plastic shield over this. if so, I did not see anything that looked like a fuse box. Am I missing something?

Driver side, behind battery, under plastic shield, near the coil, by the windshield washer container.

yup, that's where I'm looking. I don't see a fuse box near there. Do you have a picture of the under hood fuse box? Could it be that the previous owner relocated it?

anybody?

Joel5.0 09-19-2008 07:29 AM

There is not a "fuse box"....... the fuses are the fuse link wires attached to the solenoid battery (+) post (yellow, green & blue fuse links).

Fox's didn't come with fuse boxes under the hood like the 95+. Just little links in the wires that burn up like a fuse do. They say fusable link on them I think.
