Default Engine backfires and lacks alot of power

Hey guy's my 94 gt just recently backfires and lacks alot of power.Any thoughts or ideas that could be causing this problem,before I start to diagnose the problem.Thanks guy's,really appreciate it.

first thing to do is see if any codes exist after that..make sure the MAF is clean if it has one and make sure fuel pressure is good and make sure there are no engine performance probs such as bad ignition components like bad cap, rotor, or wires

The MAF was dirty & fuel pressure wasn't right all cleaned up,feel awhole lot of difference.Thanks guy's.

if you havent, replace those 02 sensors if they are the originals from 1994.


You can rent the socket free at autozone.

check plugs and wires and cap, id just put all new stuff on there....and DOUBLE or TRIPLE check the wiring order, before u do that stuff id check for codes as well.
