nope tryed starting in first no luck also tightened the cable up as much as i could is there a special way to gte it tighther? you got msn or anything stanglx?
So, when you started the car in first gear the car didn't move, right? Any funny noises? Does the clutch pedal have any toe play in it at all? Can you unhook the clutch cable at the fork and try to start the car in first gear. That'll tell us if you have a problem with the cable adjustment or the problem is the clutch.

If there is no load on the pressure plate and you can wiggle the fork then the car should move when you try to start it in any gear, (if the cable is unhooked). Sounds like it's time to pull the tranny back out and check the clutch.
