I would think so and it will provide your local popo a reason to pull you over. Here's how I mounted mine. I bought a flip tag bracket from a j/y off of a late seventies early eighties gm where the tank fill was mounted behind the plate. Modified it and wallah!!

thanks for all your help guys, but i played with some ideas and fiddling and got it set, basicly i set the plate farther over to the left, drilled 2 more holes so i can still mount it on the bracket and then drilled the hole for the kill switch, ill get some pics up.....looks sweet except for the plate being over but who cares as long as it works.

OK so are you saying you will be able to visually see the switch from the rear of the car? Hmmm, good luck w/ that. Ppl fukking w/ it when you're not around. I mean, if this is a full out race car that's one thing. But if it's a street car, I would hide it. JMO though.

I just asked a cop who was eating breakfast next to me at the lounge area at my campus he said, "you can not alter the plate at all so if you drilled holes in it i would have to say you might get pulled over. At least thats the law here in michigan

I think that is the law everywhere, the plate (or plates) are technically state property..

Quick question, why is it manditory to have a battery killswitch when you mount your battery in the trunk?
