Default Spark Plug Color

I just swapped my GT40's onto my carbed 306 and I have put about 50 miles on it right now. I pulled the plugs out and they look almost brand new. They have no color to them what so ever. And it bogs down when first hitting the gas from a cruising speed so with those 2 ideas I am figuring that it is running really lean. That and the carb is tuned for my old heads and it ran perfect with those.

Am I correct in thinking that I am just running really lean?

K thought so. Its time to swap the jets and metering rods back to the out of the box set up and see where to go from there. I figured it would run lean on me. But it sucks that I can do anything until I replace my starter.

I have already adjusted the screws with a vac gauge. Its a eddy performer 600 with elec choke. I have swapped the jets in and out a few times getting the last setup right so its really no big thing. Thanks for your .02 anyway!
