Default i dont know

i dont know what is completely done to my mustang engine wise. the engine isnt stock but i dont know what is going on in there. the only clues i really have for you is these pics (if they work). also if you have a stock 5.0 can you please tell me if the "GT" and the "24" are on the front corners of your engine block?

if that is the last pic is down the oil fill, looks like you have aftermarket rockers at least...


my guess, GT40 heads, tho they are usually stamped underneath the head, thus you'd have to remove them to check...

and ditch the FRAM oil filter and get yourself a motorcraft

if you have a problem with fram then WE have a problem... jk and whats wrong with a fram oil filter?

if your 5.0 engine is stock does it have the gt and 24 on them?

I'd have to look in the morning...

and Ive used motorcraft from the day I bought the car... heard a few stories here about fram oil filters not being good for High performance engines... one member on here mentioned how some of the filter material made its way into the oil pan and scored the bearings....

going with the OEM or one of those 11 dollar K&N filters is the way to go

Nothing wrong with a Fram filter...Who do you think makes the Motorcraft filters??? (Purolator!)
