Clutch/shifting

I agree with trying a new cable first. As for pedal pressure. Yes. Most Mustang pressure plates are over 2000lbs. This is a bit of a load compared to most normal lane fillers.
Best of both worlds are from Centerforce. They can easily clamp a disc on mild Mustangs and are easy to disengage. I have one in my 5 speed Ram. It's can scratch the tires in 3rd, tow ANYTHING and you could press the pedal with your hand.
Are you having trouble driving in 1st just over 1000rpm? It is a bit of a chore to do smoothly in a Mustang.

I had to laugh reading this thread, the first time I drove a 5.0 my leg was shakin after 10 miles and I'm like wtf? but your muscle builds up quick.Apparently a OEM cable is one of the better ones and I'm in the same boat as you and will be getting an adj quadrant kit and I hear that a new shifter such as a tri-ax or pro 5.0 etc make a world of difference.I drove my buddys Jetta or something once and if you just looked at the clutch pedal it depressed haha

Yea I don't want one calf twice the size of my right calf. I don't want to seem like a sissy but I like my clutch soft, my bed soft, and my steak mooing.

After that, try the clutch. Chances are it'll be nice and light.

Yea I also noticed the car does have another issue. The gas pedal is so close to the firewall that supports the center part of the dash, my foot scraps the wall every time. Nothing a quick hammering shouldn't fix right? And as for the cable kit, where could I find the one recommended?
