use carb cleaner, it evaps within a few seconds, much cleaner. dont be dainty with it, spray all your lines, any intake gasket area, every niple and plug. if there is a vac leak, the carb cleaner will find it.

make sure you unhook your IAC when setting base idle. you need to set your TPS voltage first though before base idle. make sure you are above .6 and below 1.01 volts.
then set your base idle. this should clear up a lot of idle issues, could also correct your whistle as well. it didnt on mine so i drilled my hole, cleared it right up.

make sure you set all you equip first before you go chasing ghosts, you could be at it for a while.

I know not everyone has acess to such but a smoke machine sure is a nifty tool to find vaccum leaks, I love using it at work, takes secs to find vaccum related issues

so i found the vacuum leak. it was the RTV umprovised for a throttlebody gasket. yeah, it was a bad idea. so i am buying a correct gasket and aftermarket spacer.

i have more problems i would like to share rather than starting a new thread.

first off i just realized the check oil/low oil (can't remember which one it is) light does not come on when you turn the key to the on position? do the sensors just crap out, i'm pretty sure it was dragging on the ground when i was moving the car in and out of the garage. is there a way to test it?

My low coolant like comes on the first two or three times i start the car even though there is coolant in the reservoir. then randomly goes off on the next start up. Bad sensor? can the sensor be tested?

And now my right blinker light inside the vehicle doesn't light anymore. i'm pretty sure it just burnt out.

What do you guys think? Just looking for pointers, thanks
