Default mustang idles at about 2000rpm

I got a 95 mustang GT with a 5.0 it was idling rough so I removed the idle air control and it was blocked off, i unblocked it and now my mustang idles at about 1800 -2000rpm and i cant figure it out can you please help

get an IAC valve...if your just leaving the open hole, then it is sucking air in through there...

are u saying you unblocked it and put he iac back on? or like he said did you just leave it all off?...because if you put it back on you may just need to go thru the steps of resetting your base idle..

if you put the IAC back on and its still idling irractic then your IAC is most likely bad but , check with the other guys to see what they think before you go run out and buy one.

clean out your IAC real good with carb or TB cleaner and stick it back on. If you're getting a bad idle then it could be a slew of things. Map sensor, EGR valve, Vacuum leak, etc etc.

Keep us updated. (i'd go ahead and replace the IAC for 60 bux if it looks rough on the inside and cleaning it doesnt work.)
