I have a 1986 Mustang GT Convertble. Only hot air blows out of the vents, regardless if the climate control switch is on warm or cool. The blower motor works fine, the air will switch between defrost, dash, floor vents fine and all climate controls (except for the a/c - needs a recharge), seem to work. Except for the hot air issue. Any ideas? Is it a thermostat issue (although no overheating)? A bad heater core?

where in MD are you??? as for the hot air issue, the blend door is mechanical, it is either a cable issue or a problem in the heater box

excuse my ignorance but are either of those issues a big deal? I don't know much about what goes on behind the dash.

a/c is no issue if you don't want air conditioning nor care for it......and heat if it works it's no big deal the blend door doesn't work, I live 10 min from shepherdstown and work in frederick, where my shop is.....work on those kind of issues all the time if you care to have it fixed
