Default more things with my car...

so I was talking with my grandpa, who suggested that I reset the idle, clear the memory on the computer...

tried, that, BIG MISTAKE, the car then wouldnt stay running for a while... I guess the ECU had to run through its diagnostic, and now it is running and staying running... so I slapped myself on the knuckles with a ruler and reminded myself to never do that again...

I hear sorta a sucking sound coming from the back of the intake... so I am leaning on it being a vacumn leak... which a vacumn leak would cause poor idles/stalling etc. right?

now there is a small small amount of smoke coming from the tailpipes... but the car isnt burning oil, the oil is at the same mark that I etched into the dipstick last time I did a full oil/filter change.. isnt burning coolant nor is there any coolant in the oil or any oil in the coolant, and the cooling system is running properly, exhaust doesnt smell sweet ... would that mean I am running rich?

there is also condensation in the pipes as well, it has been humid and was rainy all weekend, (the car didnt go anywhere friday night to monday night... and was outside) so is that normal?

Yor PCV is back there...it didn't pull out did it? On my car, that line got bad. As far as the smoke, it sounds more like steam and it is getting to be that time of year, cooler and all. I wouldn't worry, just try and find your possible vacuum leak and go from there.

thanks for the tip, I'll check out the PCV and see how the lines look. hopefully that may fix the problem, aside from getting at the o2 sensors...

the car is gonna be in the shop soon to have my CF clutch put in, so I may have them give it a look over while its all apart

the ecm when it is reset by disconnecting the battery clears THE KAM = keep alive memory where all the learned adaptive strategy is stored, ie, idle count , drivibility, ect ect.....once the car is driven it'll relearn the drivibility characteristics in short order
