Smile Decision making time

Ok so I talked to AFR about a head and cam set up... they suggested their 165cc competition version heads and a XR268HR cam? Then I was thinking a edelbrock intake of some kind? would this be a good setup/one of the best? thanks oh and i have a pretty stock 302 with some other bolt ons but no work on the actual engine yet.

I looked that cam up... looks nice... what horse power range could that handle? Could I get better performance out of something else? I want something that would work with 165cc heads and will be the best performance? what about the steeda # 20 cam? with some race victor jr. heads?

victor jr heads will be to much for that unless you refigure your whole combo and flycut pistons..ect ect.....the steeda #19 will be more ecm friendly to idle issues, the wilder you go the more it'd be necessary for a dyno tune

CI TFS TW 170 or TFS 190 "as cast" heads + custom cam package.... this alternative will make sure heads, valve train and cam are matched based on your performance goals + driveability requirements.

hey Joel you got a link to those "as cast" tfs 190 heads, I'm planning my next combo for when I resurrect my 11 to 1 306, as soon as money is right, most likely gonna send it off to Jim/Woody
