Roller rockers killed my heads!

Roller rockers killed my heads!
I found out my problem.. I have a little over 120k on my car, and evidently the valve springs were worn. I didn't even think about it, and I slapped on a set of 1.7 roller rockers for performance reasons. The car ran poorly, and after a couple months, I got around to putting the 1.6's back on.. I noticed a definate increase again in bottom end, which I was happy about, but my top end is gone. The 1.7's extra lift killed off the valve springs. Luckily I dont have float anymore though, so I guess I will have to make due with even more poorly performing heads until I can find someone local to buy my motorcycle from me Then it's bolt on Stage 3 ported Edelbrocks, and an E303!
Has anyone ever heard of this happening?

yes i have heard of that before if your springs are worn with that much mileage and you didnt change the springs that yeah they are going to wear and 2 times faster with the increased lift. you need to take it wasy on the car so you dont mess anything up. the new should come with better then stock springs so you have a big differnce in performance

so since I'm planning on getting some 1.7 rr should I get new springs for my gt40p's since they have been on there for quit some time? Or should I just get 1.6? I do want the extra performance but I dont want to screw up more then needed.

Yeah yeah, so if I dont sell my dirt bike here shortly, I will be buying some new springs, I just didn't want to pull the top end apart AGAIN! lol.. Yeah A pretty good deal I guess, they run $1,120.00 .... I may go with the AFR 160's...
