Can I replace my power steeing with manual?

I want to take off my power steering. Is there a kit to do this and how hard is this to do?

Its easy.....send 500 to summit for the Flaming river kit (rack with shaft) and your on your way....oh and get a serpentine belt without power steering

I just did it, here is a much less expensive way to do it:

Flaming river rack FR1503 on ebay new from brenspeed - $165
Steering manual shaft on ebay from billetspeedparts - $135
Outer tie rods from summit (not necessary) FR1603l - $50
Rack bushings (stock ones work with new rack) - $12
Shorter belt - $20
Alignment - ($40 ish?)

Total - $380 + alignment ($40 ish?)

All prices INCLUDE SHIPPING. You do not need new tie rod ends, the stock ones go right on the flaming river rack, but why not get new ones while you are at it. You will also need an alignment when you are done, but the install is easy. I did my own alignment at school so do not know the cost of having it done.

The steering is not that hard, but 4.2 turns lock to lock is a lot. I still like it better than power steering, and it frees up a noticeable amount of power, and annoying power steering noise. I recommend also getting rid of the air pump since you are going to need a new belt anyway.
