i would go with that 89 auto. its got efi n its an auto. Did i see that you only want to spend 5g on the car because if thats true you wont be able to make it into the 11's. 12's yes but i doubt 11's with only 5 g

get the 89 auto. Pull that auto out and slap in a bullet proof C4 in there. If its a drag car, thats what I would do 100% hands down. Check out redneck racing, you can get a C4 built for 700hp, custom converter, transbrake, the works for $1200 bucks. Plus it makes the swap easy if you already have an automatic.

if you dont mind me putting in some insight. A small block doesnt have the potential the big block does. I hate guys anymore say they make 800 horse with a tt or s/c kit. I just think its fake power. BTW 750-800 horse for a bbf can be done with stock block, stock crank and possibly stock heads n/a pending on which you go with. But one thing ur going to want is suspension. People dont realize how important suspension is. It can make the differene between a 10 and 9 second car. jmo good luck

Oh yea and btw, I'd love to see one of these big block fords making 800hp NA stock headed cars.

yeah for what your after i would go with the 89 also.

and it sounds like your lookin at the same car i am as i had talked to dave the owner of the 82 earlier and he sent me some pics and the car is pretty rough needs a bunch of body work and interior is not so good and the motor looks alright but said stock rods and cast pistons so no nos for it.

but man i am lookin at this same car and just had to sell my other fox because of medical bills and i was wanting to pick this up for my winter project for the money you say you have to spend i would look for a newer fox for your future thoughts...........................plus i want this.

lol. .....sorry man i just need a stang again and i dont have a lot of money so i was lookin at this.
