Default alternator relocation?

I have a 5.0 in a '90 RX-7. The alternator is both in the way of the upper rad hose, and the hood.

Is there a simple way to relocate it to the lower-left, rather than the upper left location?

yeah buy a adjustable tensioner arm like you see in older hot rods, you adjust using two wreches, that will easily help out to move it to the bottom left hand side. good luck

Ok, apparently the front cover and accessory brackets from an SN95 motor (I'm unfamiliar with the terms, not sure what model/year that is) should lower teh alt and a/c brackets, and move the water pump away from the radiator. Can anyone confirm this? If so, what model/year should I be looking for to get these parts? Is the front cover that difficult to change?

the sn95 refers to the 94-95 models as opposed to the fox platform which runs from 79-93. i dont know about the alt being any lower but in the sn95 the ac and p. steering are reversed. fox ac on top, sn p. s. on top

Referring to mustangmike's post, where can I get an adjustable tensioner arm for our car? I'm having a similar situation with the alternator being in the way, except it may be potentially in the way of one of my turbos.

i dont know hopw to post up websites or stuff like that, but id try summit or Jegs and search for alternators brackets and tensioners. i hope that helps. even if its not specifically for our fox body mustangs, it will work. it should be a universal tool.
