Default Tremec T5, how much torque?

I just had my AOD built up completely, along with the rest of the car. Only a couple more months before i'm out of here (Iraq) and i finally get to drive this car. I don't particuarly care for the idea of the automatic in the car though. But this build started out as a freshening up of a 145K engine and then snowballed into a complete build including the AOD with custom valvebody, bands, clutches, TCI lockup 3500 stall. It's built to handle up to 450-500hp.

That being said.....if a little while down the road i deside a manual is what i really want in the car, i want to know what options i have and how much i'm looking at for everything (flywheel, crossmember, clutch, etc).

I was sniffing around on D&D Performance website checking out their T-5's. Is the Tremec T-5 really only capable of handling 300ftlb. of torque? If so i guess the price was too good to be true. What are my options for a 89lx AOD to manual conversion? I don't need a 6sp. It's going to be a daily driver car. Power output is undetermined at this point. Most of the mods for the car are in my sig. A vortech may find it's way under there eventually. thank you.

a t5 will handle 300 ftlb of torque.. I dont know if you want to go with that if your going to be thinking of putting a supercharger on it though. If you want the t5 heres AMP performance website they sell a whole kit for everything you need to swap a aod to t5 and I mean everything. http://www.ampperformance.com/xcart/home.php?cat=284

We can build a legitimate 500ft-lb t5Extreme that is still synchronized and is sturdy enough to run 9's in the quarter every weekend. We have several championship fox bodies running them. We can get the T45 and 3650 up to about 700ft-lbs, and the TKO is almost unlimited because no streetable tire will stick better than a TKO will hold. Let me know if I can answer any questions or help you make a good decision when the time comes. I LOVE 5-Speeds!

As of right now the t5Extreme is $1995. Stuff made of steel and aluminum has been going up in price, but we are holding the line on pricing as long as we can.
