Default cheap engine build

I have a 302 out of my car, and 1,200 dollars to turn it into a performance engine, any suggestions on what i should do? thanks

I would do a cam get some head work done just get them ported and a nice intake setup and some roller rockers.

a cam, and gt40 h/i combo would be one of the better cheap build if your apposed to nitrous but you said engine. if you you dont mind nitrous then thats the best bang for the buck

I agree with those 2 ^^^^ . Nitrous is best bang for your buck to a point, Around here 10lb bottle cost $50 to fill and with my 150shot that is 5- 1/4 mile runs. It could get expensive fast.

ok you sugest using nitrous on stock internals ???
or shout i get scat forged rods and use stock crank and pistons??

get a gt-40 set up and you should be fine power wise / bang for the buck

Buy a 96+ Explorer Engine

buy a F-cam

sell your stock engine...

and do some supporting mods with the left over cash...

thats a SOLID low 13 second car on street tires id say.

GT40's can be done for under 400 with gaskets depending on if you want machine work or not. Then get a cam with some upgraded springs and a good intake.

GT-40s have GT stamped on them near the exhaust holes... and also have 3 bars stamped on them

GT-40ps have GTP stamped on themand 4 Bars stamped on them
