With that ground cable you can ground the body,block, and battery all at once.The big end bolts to the block and the smaller connector is bolted down to the body somewhere that would make a good ground.

im pretty sure the plastic connector is the pcm ground.

on my car the end pictured is going to my solenoid and the other end is grounded on the body

^ Are you sure? The solenoid is for the power wires not the ground. You might want to double check that.

ok yeah, ur right, the one end goes to a connector that goes to the drivers side harness and it branches off where i have it grounded to the body

mmmm

well the way the wire sits now is if you look in the picture, the metal piece that gets screwed to ground, has two wires coming off of it...

1 goes to the connector the other one i guess into the negative terminal...

well my engine the wire that doesn't go to the PCM is not connected to anything

its just kinda chilling next to my battery...


is that affecting my car at all?

I would ground it out. It may help a little here and there. But your engine,body and battery are all supposed to be connected together for a good ground but maybe yours has an extra ground some where.
