its not about driving crazy thats the issue with the powerdyne. its the cheap parts and contruction. you get what you pay for. most people end up spending so much in servicing the damn thing it would have been cheaper going vortech and we've heard some case people having the granade an entire motor due to the powerdyne failure. not sure if those members are still on this forum regularly...but it has happened on more than one account.

Don't laugh at me bcause I really don't know but, Is it possible to leave tha supecharger hooked up and just bypass it right now until I can get my injectors! You know like just run the belt and not hook it to the Powerdyne? I've got the Trick Flow Stage 1 cam so what other way can I get 300 horeses at the wheels without the supercharger? Thanks Again guy's.......................

Isn't there a sort of bypass valve you can adjust so it opens up at like 2-5lbs or non at all?

I don't know, but I sure hope so.. I took me a long, I mean long time to get just the parts I have now and the last thing I need is to blow up my motor. After begging for the last 5 yrs., my wife finally let me get a supercharger and now this!! Like I said I want around 300 hp @ the wheels and might have to go another route. I didn't know it would be this much of a problem!! That might be why it's making a kind of poping sound from the intake manifold, ............"not enough fuel".........................

backfire through the intake could be numerous things. not due to unsufficient fuel. you have something else going on there. so if you want to look at solving that maybe want to post on new thread.

I see that you have a basically stock motor other than the cam. You have an FMU so the 19lb injectors are fine although far from optimal. You will need to upgrade that stock fuel pump. I believe it only flows 88 or 90lph. Get a 255lph and you will be set. If you plan on adding more mods in the future you may want to think into getting some 30 or 42lb injectors down the road though. Have fun w/your project.

Hindsight is 20/20 but you should have gotten all the supporting mods before throwing the charger on. My car is still bone stock but I put the 255 lph pump in the tank, got a Kirban Adjustable FPR all in preparation for the future mods, whether it be HCI or Charger, I know everyone wants to just throw horsepower in their car right away but you still need to do it safely.

What are you talking about? ...The car ran perfect with that combo with stock heads...Infact I changed my heads to Edelbrock Performer RPM heads and went 11.20 @ 122.5 with the SAME 9# Powerdyne SC....and thats with a Stock Cam & a 3375# Mustang GT with me in it!! ...I went on to put on a Vortech T-trim and ran consistant 10.5's at 132...
I ran a series called Renegade! Remember that?

I think I know pretty much how to set-up a 5L SC Foxbody Mustang! ....never an issue if you know what your doing!

Infact, Mach 2007, after owning the car for 17 years, I sold it with the 6# Powerdyne (see pics)...with this combo, lowering suspension, 95 Cobra R's (5 Lug) and Nitto DR's I ran a 11.65 at 119.6....

If I had a Powerdyne now, I'd still pop it on....No issues here!
