Windsor sr.'s on a stock displacement 302 are a little large on the intake runners. You're going to loose a lot of low end torque on your intake charge. Thus, I'd run a cam with a little more duration to compliment the heads. Something that will open you up on the higher rpms. Something like a trickflow stage 3 cam. I think the holley systemax is one of the best all around intakes, so i'd run that or the edelbrock victor.

Personally though, i'd either stroke it, or get windsor jr.s. Its all about torque on the street.

are your pistons notched for big valves ? also I would do just the opposite of said above with the big runners I would run a smaller duration cam and more lift to help keep the velocity up in the runners you will not need the big duration cam with the big runner heads but I would run more lift to take advantage of the higher lift flow numbers of the heads and once again let the velocity take over with the air flow. this would also help with low end torque and drivability at low speeds. I know that Trick flow stage 3 cam is awful snotty down low and would not make a real good street cam for a 302. But then what do I know. lol

I'll agree with that too. Its all gonna be about what you wanna do with the car. I still think the heads are too big.

I understand the heads being to big as I run the same way big heads and small cid but I also run boost. I was reading a discussion on this awhile back some where and it was very interesting. Hell just look at the 351C 4V heads of the early 70s you could stand up in the intake ports but with the right cam and rpms they would run bad *** fast. But it is like you said it is all in what you want.
