Default tranny up-grades

i am about to have a 347 built for me and i am wondering if the ford racing t-5 "world class" will hold for torq. the engine builder says motor will be pushing close to 400lbs. i am limited on funds due in part to the engine build and i was wondering if this or the basic t-5 tremec is the best bang for my buck.signed 88 foxrod

your best bet if you hammer on t-5's is a tko500/600 or g-force t-5

Hey Fuct,

We build up to 600hp rated t5s that will take about 500ft-lbs of torque and will cost you less than the TKO by a long shot. I am a huge TKO fan, but the t5 definitely has its place. Call us about the AP t5Extreme and you will spend a lot less than $2000 on a durable transmission that has gone 9's in the quarter in fox bodies without even breathing hard. AP
