Default thinking about a supercharger

Im thinking about putting a supercharger on my 95GT with a 347 stroker kit on it but i need some information because i don't know a whole lot about it. First of all, this is what I have done to the motor: Forged 347 rotating assembly kit(all parts are forged steel) with a Main stud girdle and windage tray. It has AFR heads on it with I believe 61cc combustion chambers and 185cc intake runners. Camshaft is 286 deg. intake duration and 300 deg. exh. duration. .579 valve lift and 114 deg. lobe seperation. Intake manifold is trick flow and rpm range on heads and intake is 1500 to 6500. rpm range on cam is like 2600 to 6300. I have 36# injectors in it.

The motor is only 9.3 to one compression. This is good for supercharged applications correct? I was told the lower compression the better so i put dish pistons in. Also what kind of boost can i run? Any suggestions on what kind of supercharger to get and why? thanks!

with 9.3 keep boost levels tame and have a tune so it doesn't run lean, which will kill most s/c applictions

9.3 comp. little high, I would not run more then 9# boost...your also going to need to get a good tune to keep things alive....like the Anderson PMS

Porting your heads will drop your compression a bit as well...

So would you guyz suggest sprayin perhaps instead? I don't know a whole lot about installing either one, but nitrous seems like it would be a little bit easier and more user friendly....

with that 347 your probably in the 380-400rwhp range so if u bolt up a supercharger i wouldnt take it past 6-8 lbs which would probably get u in the 525 rwhp range and be pressing your luck some

and if u need the extra power just throw a 100 shot on and call it good plus the nos way will be much cheaper to do also.

9.3:1 is safe, boost it as much as that blower can make. Make sure your fuel and ignition can hold the boost, and get it tuned.
