Help! I just installed a SSBC rear disc conversion on my 87 GT. SSBC instructions said nothing about pinning the spring but my Haynes manual does. I didn't read the part about pinning the parking brake spring untill I was installing the new cables....OOPS! Now everything is hooked up and routed properly but the spring needs reset. My Haynes manual said the handle would need removed but gives no procedure for resetting. Alldata said the tighten the adjuster nut...Duh! no nut!
I am assuming the spring lost it's tension on disassembly. When the handle is pulled up the pully that the cable attaches to does not move at all. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

dude i did the same thing im still trying to figure it out. I didnt see that either and i ended up just leaving it with no parking brake for the summer im hoping to get it fixed this winter

I did the same thing when i changed my cables. I just went to my local pick n pull and grabbed another handle. I couldnt figure out how to reset the tension.
