ahahah just stick with the 8.8 build up one and you would be good. a stock 9 aint good so you might as well build up something you already have.

idk about what years bolt in...but i know if its out of a truck after 1980 it'll have 31 or 33 spline axles, which will be stronger then the 8.8, but not by all that much they both have weak points...

if your 8.8 is completly shot, shop around and get the one thats cheaper a built 8.8 or a built 9.

im considering the swap if my 86 bko doesnt sell which has a good 9 inch, 33 spline axles and 4.56 gears...it would be an upgrade from my 2.89 8.8
