Lets get to the bottom of this.
OK I BLEW UP MY 8.8.
i had a stock 8.8, nuts blew off when i got off the gas on 2nd bustin a corner.
Bottom line: Which 9 inch rear bolts on to my fox. minimal fabrication required. i have read that often a 9inch read end sticks out 3/4 wider that stock is this an advantge? i converted to 14 inch wilwoods, with 17 inch cobra r rims. how different are the lug pattern similar right?

no your not i have seen your build/help threads on sbftech
and i second the vote the 8.8 's can be made to handle some serious hp, good gearset, good 31 spline axles or bigger, c clip eliminators with 9" ends, girdle and that would make for a stout setup.

Currie makes them so does Moser and I am sure there are a few more out there that makes them and they bolt right in. But I am with the rest of the guys the 8.8 a very strong unit. I would look into good parts for the 8.8 and save your self some cash to put in other places
